History

Founded in 1898, First Baptist Church of Anguilla has served the Baptists of Anguilla and its surrounding area for 115 years.  The original congregation consisted of 14 members and met in the Southern Cotton Oil Mill, where the Anguilla Gin is now located.  The first Baptist Church building was erected in 1900, on a lot donated by J. W. Vick.  The current sanctuary was erected in 1941, on the original lot donated by Vick, followed by annexes in 1954 and the early 1970s, which were later renamed the Carl O'neil Dunaway Education Building.
