Dr. Porter has been pastor of First Baptist Church, Anguilla since 2013, and currently serves as Executive Director of the Mississippi Baptist Christian Action Commission. He has served as a pastor for 37 years, most recently at FBC McComb, MS. Dr. Porter is married to Tommye Lynn Burns of Philadelphia, and has 2 daughters, Nikki Burke and Maribeth Porter and two grandchildren, John Porter and Andrew.
